Healthy Breakfast Ideas
Hello! Long time no blog.
Lately I've been loving filming (and watching) 'what I eat in a day' videos and you guys seem to be enjoying them as well. Thought I would switch it up and share some breakfast ideas on the blog. If you're not sure what to make for your next meal hopefully this will give you some ideas! :)
I've got a sweet tooth so waffles and pancakes are a frequent go to for breakfast. Heres a quick protein packed pancake recipe I made recently using Burnbrae Farms' Egg Creations!. (this can be made into waffles as well).
1 cup Kodiak Cake mix
1 cup water or milk (I use macadamia milk)
1/4 cup Burnbrae Egg Creations
dash of cinnamon
Mix all the ingredients together and cook into pancakes or waffles! I like to top mine off with greek yogurt, strawberries and maple syrup. Yum :)
This breakfast is a new favourite of mine. A Burnbrae Farms' Egg Bake! (the 4 Cheese and Ham is my favourite) in a freshly toasted english muffin and a side of berries.
A major plus - this only takes about 2 minutes to make! Even on a busy day you can squeeze in this tasty meal.
One thing I'm focusing on right now is getting in enough protein. I aim for at least 20g per meal. One Burnbrae Farms' Egg Bake! has 13g of protein at only 160 calories sometimes I'll have both quiches (each box comes with 2) or have some turkey bacon on the side.
